Answers to the questions we hear most from customers and workshop partners.
Yes. MHS specializes in All Keys Lost (AKL) procedures across most vehicle platforms. This requires network-level access or direct module intervention — procedures a standard locksmith typically cannot perform. For complex vehicles like VW/Audi MQB2, BMW, or Toyota, we use specific AKL protocols to generate a fully programmed new key set without any working key present.
Module cloning copies all programming data from one control module (ECU, BCM, or TCM) to a replacement unit — transferring vehicle-specific calibrations, immobilizer data, and VIN encoding. You need this when a module fails and must be replaced, when a vehicle is salvaged and modules need to be adapted, or when a previously programmed unit must be matched to a new vehicle. We perform cloning via Bench, Boot, and OBD methods depending on the security system.
MHS operates as a fully mobile unit. Our technicians travel across Greater Houston — including Sugar Land, Katy, Pearland, The Woodlands, Pasadena, and surrounding areas — with full lab-grade equipment. For module-level work such as EEPROM procedures or bench programming, you can also bring or ship the module directly to our lab at 5330 North Fwy, Houston, TX.
MHS has specialized capability across BMW (CAS1–CAS4+, FEM, BDC), Mercedes-Benz (EIS, ESL emulator), Audi and Porsche (BCM2), Volvo (KVM, CEM), Volkswagen (MQB2), Chrysler/Jeep (WIN4), and most Toyota, Ford, and GM platforms. We also serve all mainstream vehicles for standard key and locksmith services. If you are unsure whether we cover your vehicle, call us directly.
Absolutely. This is one of our most common B2B services. When a shop replaces an ECU, BCM, or TCM but lacks the programming capability to match it to the vehicle, MHS steps in with dealer-level software and EEPROM tooling to complete the adaptation. We can come to your shop, or you can bring the module to our lab. Contact us to discuss your specific vehicle.
OBD (On-Board Diagnostics): Programming through the vehicle's diagnostic port with the module installed — the most common, non-invasive method, limited by the vehicle's security system.
Bench Mode: The module is removed from the vehicle and connected directly to programming equipment. Allows deeper access but requires precision removal.
Boot Mode: A lower-level method that bypasses the module's firmware interface, used when OBD and bench access are insufficient. This involves opening the ECU housing and may affect manufacturer warranties. MHS always discloses these implications before proceeding.
Whether it's an emergency lockout, a complex module programming challenge, or a B2B partnership — the MHS team is ready. One call connects you to Houston's most technically capable automotive solutions team.
